Designing for Andrés Sardà

This project consisted of the creation of two looks, one lingerie-style and the other one for bathing suit- style, but both inspired by the essence of the Catalan brand well-knowns as Andres Sarda, combined with the Soft Sun-Kissed Colors trend, taken from the VIEW magazine.
To guide you through the design process I will show you the chosen trend, some fabrics and sketches, and finally the two proposals.
The lingerie proposal is a romantic look, composed of three individual pieces that play with the overlaying of lace pieces with lycra, French seams, views with grossgrain ribbons, and so on. The special touch is the predominance of tangerine tones, with a dark and intense hue, which reminds us of a sunset, as indicated by the Soft sunkissed colors trend, to which it refers. The pieces that make up the look are a plunge-style and balcony bra, with thin and soft lace straps; then a decorative corset, without rods or any other rigid element, made from the combination of lace and lycra, with satin edges. Finally, regular-cut socks with lace decorations and a reinforcement at the bottom made of darker satin.
Regarding the proposal of swimwear, this one presents a set with a different atmosphere, more retro-futuristic, composed by a trikini, which has a top that mixes the bandeau style with the classic structure. The bottom is a high-waisted with decorative openings on the sides (same as the top). The union of these two pieces is made by a front piece made of a grid fabric on lycra and with a belt to accentuate the female body. The color of this piece is a gradient that starts in lilac tones to intense orange browns, a mixture very typical of the chosen trend.
